 Chronicles of the Azure Sky - Overture

The image and the theme evoke something both epic, powerful, and at the same time light and effortless. I tried to convey the power with the piano chords and the strings and horns. The melody played with the piano with a long reverb is much more light, and represent something floating above the ground. And the drawing reminds me a lot of a scene from Princess Mononoke, so I went full on Joe Hisaishi :)

Epic title theme for a fantasy game where your best pal is a powerful white dragon. 

First time for me to compose for orchestra, I mostly did electronic music composition. A really interesting experience, hard to not get lost in the mixing phase in such a short time ! Did in Bitwig with a few Kontakt instruments.
